Taco Seasoning is another blend you can buy at the store. Depending on the one you buy there will be flavors that stand out. Commonly, individuals find it tastes OK but it is not quite what they want. It may be too spicy or to mild. It may have an ingredient you don’t like as well, that stands out. However, no matter the flavors you prefer, you can have the blend your way.
Why Salt Free
There are many reasons to go salt free. Originally we started going salt free due to a simple choice. As the years passed it became important from a dietary stand point due to high blood pressure. For us, we simply continued with the no or absolute minimum amount of salt in everything. Whatever reason you have, we support you.

Why Make Your Own
The reasons to make your own seasoning vary and are many. Firstly: Cost. Buying the spices in bulk form saves a significant amount of money. Many of the spices you buy will be used in multiple recipes. Secondly: Flavor is bolder. When you use fresher ingredients you get a bolder flavor. When spices sit on the shelf they lose strength of flavor over time. The fresher the ingredients the bolder the flavors.
Flavor It Your Way
Using the recipe above as a starting point it is now time to make it your way. You can adjust any of the ingredients to please you pallet. Remove an ingredient you prefer not to use. Add an ingredient you like that compliments the other flavor. When you make adjustments, make one maybe two at a time. Making too many adjustments at once will make it hard to tell what worked and what didn’t. Record the adjustments you make so you can repeat them when it turns out right. You now can say, “I Flavored It My Way!”
